Character Biography: Dean was born on January 24, 1979 to John and Mary Winchester. He is the couple's elder child, and has one sibling, Sam, who is four years younger. When Dean was four years old his life was changed forever by a nursery fire and the mysterious death of his mother. His earliest memory is of his father's frantic expression as he thrust his baby brother into his arms. Ever since then, he's been trained by his father to be a Hunter of all the things that go bump in the night.
History: Dean, at the age of 26, was a hunter; he hunts and kills supernatural monsters. Usually he was with his father John, but shows up at Stanford to ask for his brother Sam's help in a search for their father, who has gone missing. While searching, Sam's girlfriend Jessica is killed in the same way as their mother had been years earlier, and Sam abandons Stanford in order to travel with Dean to find John and avenge Jessica. Eventually, after months of hunting demons, ghosts, and other big nasty things, they met back up with their father, only to fail at killing the demon that killed their loved ones. In the end, Dean's father gives up his life for his son making him promise to protect Sam and save him from whatever fate the yellow-eyed demon has in store for him, or, if he can't, then he has to kill his brother.
